I fell in love with the bass guitar and I’m by far a better bassist than guitarist, and honestly I’ve really enjoyed being in-demand instead of constantly looking for a places to play or people to jam with. I’ve enjoyed playing many bass guitars over the years. I have come to enjoy versitale playability that the 5 string option gives.
Being a bass player in a band plays a key role in maintaining a rhythmic groove. As a bassist, I create the entire music foundation upon which the other band members play. It takes more than mere juice and hefty speakers to replicate quality tone from your bass guitar. Fortunately, a plethora of gear has been made available to meet those requirements and let the music lines shine.
Whether you are a novice player looking for your first amp, an aspiring bassist wanting to revamp your amplification setup, or an experienced player looking to renovate your rig, here are a few basses I’ve played. Choosing the right bass guitar to match your music style, budget and the venues where you perform can seem like a process, but it is one I hope that will bring you joy. With that, enjoy the process and you will avoid the frustration. A lot of becoming great at something is not giving up. Making music is fun so let your heart be happy as you find your groove. #themutebassplayer
